Wow! I feel like I'm just getting started. On April 24th, 2007, I posted my first article as the Unlikely Salsero.
This time it's personal!
Today I published article ONE HUNDRED! Thanks to you for plenty of suggestions via the comments and private mail. My goal was always high-quality articles that are fun to read, so I wasn't directly shooting for 100 articles in less than a year, but here we are.
I hope this blog makes a positive difference in your dancing, and you enjoy reading my radical thoughts, warm fuzzies and rants. I love writing them and it helps me organize my thoughts on dancing, and I see that as a win-win.
Behind the scenes over 20 articles are in draft form, waiting for me to take the time to finish them, and I have video clips in the works. Teaching, dancing and your feedback continue to provide me with new ideas. I suspect you'll see another 100 articles this year, and every month more and more people are reading. I appreciate the people who have told others about this blog! It's taken on a life of its own thanks to you.
One more time, I have to say a huge THANK-YOU for all the support and feedback!

Congratulations and thank you, Don! I have reading your blog for a while and I am always delighted to check and find that you have written a new post. I started dancing in November at age 45, and although I have the less complicated job of following, it still isn't easy. Your blog has been very encouraging.
I feel the same way you do about salsa - it is about so much more than just the dance and has changed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined. Keep writing, and I'll keep reading, I'll comment when I think I might have something to contribute and I'll spread the word.
CONGRATULATIONS! And a big hug and thankfulness for this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. It' s very invaluable to me. Because of living in Germany I can't visit your seminars (perhaps some day you'll visit Germany?) and I'm happy to get your teaching in this way.
Congratulations, Don!
Great work and I enjoy reading your posts!
Another 'Thanks!' here. I also started salsa much later in life than the average dancer, and have found your articles extremely encouraging. I especially like the ways you've described the social scene and interactions. This is a new world for me, and I have to restrain myself around non-dancers so as not to sound like a religious convert!
Congratulations and thanks for your blog. I also started dancing in my 40's and your writing often strikes a chord with me (pun intended!). Seriously, though, I usually find myself nodding in agreement with what you have written, and find encouragement also. Keep up the great work!
