I&#39;ve actually had men get annoyed at me for not executing a lead to keep myself from being knocked out from someone&#39;s flying elbows. <br /><br />It is SUCH a pleasure to be able to actually DANCE with a man who knows how to lead correctly (defensively)! Please keep teaching other men this!!<br /><br />Ladies, take your safety in your own hands. You will get to know who you can trust to keep you safe, but don&#39;t assume this from the start. You are not obligated to follow if it means it puts you in harm&#39;s way.<br /><br />Men, your partners are NOT REQUIRED to follow your lead if it puts them in danger. I&#39;ve only been dancing Salsa for about 5 - 6 months now, but I&#39;m developing my &quot;eyes in the back of my head.&quot; I try and keep aware of what&#39;s around me and if I see someone coming in, I&#39;ll try and redirect.Ericnoreply@blogger.com
